Is There Really a Recipe For The Perfect Husband?

maths-ftrHonestly, it’s quite the intriguing thought, don’t you agree? I mean, there are so many different flavors of personas in the world. And of course, everybody is different; and everybody changes.

Could there actually be specific guidelines that would help formulate the perfect husband?

Of course there aren’t specific qualities that are REQUIRED because everybody is different and everybody feels love differently as well. I never thought that I would fall in love; but somehow it happened.

And it wasn’t because of a perfect formula, it’s about who you are as a person and who they are as a person. And if you are lucky enough to find a million reasons to love one another; and bring each other up, rather than down, you’re blessed.

I didn’t find love, it/he found me.

I’ll never forget it, it was dark and my best friend, at the time and I were driving home from soccer. Our conversation concluded of, where were our future husbands and why aren’t they here for us now, when we need them the most.

We were, of course just being silly. But I’ll never forget the joke I tossed into the air, saying:

“That son of bish. Where is he when I need him the most, I’m going to kick his butt when I find out who he is and what beeotch he’s dating right now.”

It was a hilarious conversation but I never thought it would really have any meaning until this very moment. It was 7, almost 8 years ago, when I was wondering where my husband was in the world.

And today, I finally got to reflect that when I noticed his school award plaques and his missionary plaque. Those are two very defining things because God is key and he did such a great job in school, he set a great future up for himself by the time he was home from his mission, he was working the job he loved to do most.

Brendan Kent Warkentin, you have done so much in your life to prepare for your future family. It started in school when you did such an awesome job in all your classes, especially programming.

And you kept your heart close to God.

You never judge unrighteously and you always put your best effort forward, in all that you do in life. You are patient, loving and forgiving. And when I look at those ‘meaningless,’ plaques that most throw in a box and then in a garage, it reminds me of all the hard work you put forth, in creating everything we have together, now.

There isn’t a perfect formula but for some people, like me, we’re damn lucky and ‘caught the perfect one.’

Thank you for catching me and being the best husband in the world. I could be more blessed and I couldn’t be any happier.
