Dutch Bro employees teach us love by praying for grieving woman!
We have a tear jerker for you this morning but not one that won’t leave you feeling inspired and believing in man-kind for once this year. ( I mean let’s be honest these elections have brought out the worst in people and I hope that this will inspire you to make it a goal to help one person every day). The story touches our hearts because seeing these boys come together the way they did is indescribable, the characteristics and qualities of these young men say a lot about their true personalities and we’re so thankful they are here to continue to make a difference in the world.
There was truly a profound, touching and indescribable moment captured on camera at a local coffee shop in Vancouver, Washington. This mornings inspirational video will leave you feeling inspired ( I mean, honestly these current elections have shed a lot of light on what Americans and people all over the world are truly thinking, people are being hateful and judgmental, instead… shouldn’t we be spreading love)?
The Dutch Bro employees were merely going about their daily job when an obviously and ‘visibly upset,’ woman drove up to the drive-thru window. Pierce Dunn learned moments later that her husband had passed away and it had been a very difficult day.
And it wasn’t just free coffee that he gave the unidentified woman—he gave her a gift that she’ll never forget when he asked if he could pray for her. It was when she said yes that everybody in the shop dropped everything they were doing and grabbed her hand through the window.
They “stopped everything,” she was their number one priority and Dunn described that moment:
“That moment was absolutely incredible. It was so emotional.”
Denn’s friend and co-worker Evan Freeman mentioned that while he may not be religious his beliefs should come second because there was a person in need. (That’s true character, I can’t even say this enough. Evan, you’re amazing, there are so many atheists in the world that choose to disrespect others and laugh about their beliefs. I truly commend you for putting the needs of someone else first versus your own beliefs and doing what you felt was right in that very moment). And it was Barbra Danner who snapped the original photo and posted it to Facebook with the caption:
“Snapped this picture while waiting in line at the Dutch Bros on 138th Avenue today. Turns out the young lady in line ahead of us lost her 37-year-old husband last night. When the DB guys & gals noticed she was falling apart, they stopped everything and prayed with her for several minutes, invited her to come back for prayer and support, as well as anything else that she might need. Prayers for the young family, and you know where to stop for coffee!”
