Lady Gaga spends time with homeless LGBT youth in NYC!
Lady Gaga has been known to stand up for the LGBT community. And she’s always making the effort to help make a difference in the world. And this morning she spent sometime in New York City at the Ali Forney Center. Gaga was focused on spending the morning with homeless LGBT youth.
Their mission is to “ protect LGBTQ youths from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently.” And the organization was named after Ali Forney who was tragically murdered in 1997. Ali was a dedicated young man. He wanted to do nothing more than help protect homeless LGBT youth but was later shot in the head in Harlem.
Gaga took to Twitter and shared a heart-warming picture of her sitting in a medication circle. She was sporting a shirt that had the phrase “Be brave,” on it. And the teens looked pretty relaxed. She captioned the picture:
“I spent a beautiful morning w/ [LGBT] youth @AliForneyCenter the largest drop-in center in the [world]. I brought [gifts] & led them in a group meditation.”
Honestly, it’s great to see talent get out there and make a difference in the lives of those who are facing trials and still growing. Life isn’t easy and there’s no doubt that these kids will never forget Gaga’s advice, love and time she spent with them for the rest of their lives. Memories like this can keep us strong and they really do make a difference. We should all team up together and help hold one another up. It doesn’t matter what race you are, whether you are LGBTQ or straight. We are all people, we all have similar goals. We all want to get through this life and be successful, happy and have those we love close to our hearts.
Love is the only answer, don’t you agree?
