Kylie Minogue and Joshua Sasse won’t marry until LGBT couples can in Australia.
Kylie Minogue and Joshua Sasse are making a statement by not getting married until same-sex couples are given the same opportunity in Australia. The two have been very excited to get married but this is something near and dear to their hearts. And they won’t be getting married until those in Australia can as well.
The 48-year-old singer announced their engagement to Joshua back in February. But since same-sex couples aren’t allowed to get married in Australia (where she’s from) they don’t feel comfortable tying the knot until the law changes. She said:
“Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long,” Kylie told The Standard before her jaw-dropping performance at The Ivy to help kick off The Ivy 100 Centenary Celebrations on Wednesday (December 7) in London, England.
How heart-warming is that? It can’t be easy to put your marriage on hold but they have made their wish clear and we truly hope that it’s heard sooner than later.
Kylie took the stage and performed her hits “Wow,” “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” Love At First Site,” and “Spinning Around.” And she didn’t forget our favorite classic holiday hits “Let It Snow,” and “Santa Baby.” Check out the performance below and don’t forget to let us know what you think about their decision to wait before getting married.
